In some form, art has been a cornerstone in my appreciation of life and purpose. My passion for art started in my youth, obsessed with sculpture turned to what would become my love of silversmithing. In my undergrad, I picked up a spool of wire and started creating wire wraps and the journey has taken me into a career as both a jeweler and a designer.

Once I studied and applied soldering techniques I learned in classes, I took my wire wrap methods and melded them with classic silversmithing practices to create unique pieces that were emblematic of my style. Designing jewelry lines, such as Vibration and Balance, allowed me to showcase the gemstones I worked with and exhibited the clear vision of the concepts I wanted to bring to life. JMJ Jewelry Design was established out of a desire to let my creative side free to conceive my own work and let my analytic side launch metalwork as a career.

I explored further processes, such as anodized titanium, using hand-sawed layers to create intricate depictions, inlayed with gemstones. I came to appreciate incorporating a varied degree of artistic freedom in my creations, branching out to make not just pendants, but rings, bracelets, brooches, pins, and earrings.

The manipulation of metal constantly invigorates my creativity and often comes with an evaluation into what I can take on next.

I’m appreciative for the support I’ve received when I first started JMJ Jewelry Design in a small apartment with little idea of whether this was sustainable.I’ve since sold over a thousand pieces with no plans of slowing down.

In 2026, I began a new journey into engraving. I am unbelievably grateful for the career that led me to this new exploration and perhaps, more grateful for how I’ll build upon it for what is to come next.
